Service Designer · Atlanta

Hi, I'm Yeji.

I'm a service designer who turns complicated systems into experiences people can actually move through, for Fortune 200 to 500 clients across insurance, retail and automotive.

The short version

I believe most “design problems” are really system problems wearing a UI costume.

I started in interaction design, but kept zooming out, past the screen, past the flow, to the whole tangle of people, policies and handoffs behind a service. That's where the leverage is, and it's where I've worked ever since: mapping the system, finding the one move that changes everything, and bringing the room along with me.

Growing up between Seoul and Atlanta gave me a habit I still rely on: translating between worlds that don't usually talk to each other. Executives and caregivers, data teams and store crews. Service design is mostly that, with sticky notes.

What I believe

four principles
Ask first
Open with a question, not a claim. Curiosity finds the real problem faster than confidence.
Zoom out
The screen is the symptom. The fix usually lives one or two levels up, in the system.
Credit the room
“We” more than “I.” The best ideas come from the people closest to the problem.
Simpler wins
If a step, a word or a screen can go without losing meaning, it goes.

안녕Hello

Seoul → Atlanta. The work translates between worlds, so I do too. Korean shows up as a quiet accent in how I think, never decoration.
